If you haven't at least heard of The Lord of the Rings, then you're severly deprived. I'm giving you homework, yes homework... watch all three of them. If you're really ambitious, then watch the extended versions... they're even more amazing.
If you're even more ambitious, read the books, I would recommend reading them before you watch the movies... you will understand the movies so much better that way...
Newsies is a movie about a bunch of newsboy's who are forced to pay more for the paper's they sell... So they go on strike. They go up against the biggest newspaper man in all of New York and... well, I won't ruin the end for you. It's a musical from the 80's, but it's one of the best movies I've ever seen...
I love this movie so much, and the book is just as amazing... I gotta say that if you have like 6 hours to spare, definitely rent Pride and Prejudice, it's totally worth it. In case you haven't heard of it, it's mainly the love story of two people, Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy.
