The Blugrass Band CD’s are finally done!

We giving out the CD’s for a donation of $10 or more. We are also distributing the Aaron Ashton CD and last years CD for the same price  (supplies are low and there may be a delay for these last two).

We ordered 1000 CD’s of this years group. They sound great. These kids are talented. This is a great opportunity for them to record in a professional setting and play live gigs on a regular basis. The costs of running this band with all of their activities is over $10,000. The burden is on the students’ families and fundraising so we encourage everyone to support them by getting the CD’s and spreading the word. We will be putting up displays in supportive business around the valley to collect donations and distribute CD’s.

Guitar Final for Seniors will be May 19th. All other’s will perform their finals on May, 24th.

The whole music department will be performing May 12th. The orchestra will play Holberg, then “Phantom of the Opera” with the Band. After that the whole music department will come to the stage for the finale “Battle Hymn of the Republic”.

Dress rehearsal: Call time 10:30, tune and warmup on your own. Downbeat at 11:00; all be rehearsing with the soloists and community orchestra so you will have to be individually responsible to tune accurately, warmup and be onstage ready to go before the down beat for the full dress rehearsal.

Concert: Call time 4:30ish… get there as soon as you can. Full orchestra/choir warm-up/downbeat is at 5:00.
